My name is Mariah and I am the face behind Little Studio Photography. I am also a mama to three daughters, a handful of dogs, and occasionally a rescued baby bird.

I came to photography through my own motherhood – it was a way to see and document the shift I felt within, and this tiny new life that suddenly mattered more than anything.

This was like floating in an ocean of love, though at times I'd also sit with tea in the bathroom, waiting for the overwhelm to pass. Looking back now, every one of those moments is so dear to me, each one a little piece of my story.

This season of motherhood when our babies fit on our chest and need us for everything is so fast and fleeting. It’s a blur of love and emotions, long nights, and giving more of yourself than you ever thought possible. And still, their early days and your early moments as a mother are something you'll always want to remember.

I photograph this time not only to preserve the sweet baby details, but to honor you within it. Years from now, you won’t just want to remember what they looked like – you’ll want to remember the way you held them, how they nuzzled into you, and the look in your eyes in those moments.
