WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY SESSION?

I recommend for you to reach out about 2–3 months prior to your desired session date. This assures your date on my calendar, and allows time for us to connect and plan your session.

HOW DO I BOOK MY SESSION?

Once you have decided to book I will send over a contract for you to sign. You can then make the payment for your session retainer fee which officially reserves your session.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR A MATERNITY SESSION?

Weeks 26–33 are ideal for maternity portraits. With a subsequent pregnancy, the belly often shows sooner, so you may prefer scheduling your session a little earlier. The same is true for twin or triplet pregnancies.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR NEWBORN PHOTOS?

I like to schedule newborn sessions to take place around 4 weeks after your due date. Bringing a baby home is an otherworldly experience. Taking this bit of time so mama can recover, get into a familiar rhythm with her newborn and feel good makes such a difference. I focus less on posing and more on the connection between family and their baby, so I do not insist on a 7–14 day “newborn window” of time.

I understand completely, and having been through pregnancies of my own I can relate to this sentiment. I can also tell you that documenting this moment beautifully is something you’ll never regret. Your changing body carries a quiet strength and beauty that my camera sees. We’ll style you in a way that makes you look and feel stunning and I'll gently guide you through posing so you glow in every image. An artful maternity portrait is so meaningful in a nursery or as a start of a family gallery. This is the beginning of your baby’s story and these memories are precious not only for you, but for them as they grow.

CAN SIBLINGS BE INCLUDED IN NEWBORN PHOTOS?

Of course. Your new baby is part of the family, and all immediate family members are welcome to be included in the session.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE CLIENT STUDIO WARDROBE?

Client studio wardrobe includes a curated selection of dresses for expecting and postpartum mothers. You are also welcome to wear something of your own that you love. Everything needed for newborns is fully provided. For babies and toddlers I offer a small but adorable selection of neutral, simple pieces that complement the wardrobe above.

ARE HAIR AND MAKEUP SERVICES AVAILABLE?

I do not provide beauty services as most clients prefer to work with their own trusted artists. I do encourage a professional hair and makeup appointment prior to your session if this is something you would enjoy.

DO YOU OFFER MINI SESSIONS?

Currently I do not offer mini sessions.

WHEN WILL OUR GALLERY BE READY?

Your full gallery will be completed and ready for viewing in 3-4 weeks. After your session I begin working on your images. Each image is carefully selected and edited by hand, including retouching if necessary. This process is a part of your portrait experience, approached with care and meticulous attention to detail, which takes time.

WHERE IS THE STUDIO LOCATED?

The studio is located in Westlake Village near the Westlake Blvd exit off of the 101 freeway.
